Musson Grit Strip Step Covers

Musson Rubber is one of the leading suppliers of step covers and related products. They offer products made from rubber, vinyl, and metal, most of which are made in the USA. For over 80 years, Musson Rubber has been a leader in the development and manufacture of safety stair coverings and flooring materials.

Musson offers a very effective anti-slip option that can be added to any of their rubber step covers. The Grit-Strips are highly textured inserts that are attached to the step covers in slightly recessed grooves that have been cut into the rubber surface. The tough, mineral-coated, waterproof Grit-Strips have a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing that bonds to the rubber in the step covers.

Musson offers two Grit-Strip insert options for their rubber step covers. The standard GS option features two, 3/4″ strips positioned along the treads leading edge by the nosing. The VI option, (Visually Impaired), version has one, 2″ wide strip.

Grit strips are available in six colors, beige, black, brown, gray, red or safety yellow. A glow-in-dark option is also offered. Grit-Strips can be ordered by themselves and applied to most hard, flat surfaces.

Grit Strips can be used for indoor or outdoor applications. When ordered without being attached to one of the Musson step covers, the Grit-Strips are available in a variety of widths, ranging from 3/4″ up to 12 inches. They can be ordered in pre-cut lengths with rounded corners or by the 60 foot roll.
